The Coweta County Schools Calendar for 2022-2023 is now available. This year, the district will have a total of 198 days in operation. This includes 180 instructional days and 22 vacation days.
Coweta County Schools is a public school district located in Coweta County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2010 census, the district had a population of 25,898. The district operates six elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school.
The School was established on July 1st 1912 by an act of the Georgia General Assembly. The first Board of Education members were: Judge J. Hines Newton, C.P.; Rufus Sikes Sleeper; Sallie White; Fannie Tompkins; and Mollie Nunnally.

The school district has a total of 13 schools: five elementary schools, four middle schools, and three high schools. The district also operates two academies: Coweta Academy for Math and Science and Coweta Academy for the Arts.
The school district has an extensive program to assist students who are struggling in school or have disabilities. This includes individualized counseling, tutoring, special classes, and more.
The Coweta County School District is one of the highest-rated in the state. In 2016, it was rated as Excellent by the Georgia Department of Education.
Today’s Coweta County School District maintains a diverse enrollment which includes students from many cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds as well as students who are deaf or have a disability.
Coweta Public School Holidays Calendar 2022-2023
The Coweta public school system has announced the holidays that will be celebrated this year. The calendar includes Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. There are also four district-wide holidays: spring break, summer break, fall break, and winter break.
Each school will celebrate their own holiday with various events taking place throughout the day. For example, Coweta Elementary School will have a parade on Thanksgiving morning. At Coweta Middle School there is a concert scheduled for Veterans Day afternoon. Students at Coweta High School can look forward to a basketball game against Henry County on Veterans Day night.
All students in grades 3-12 are expected to attend school on these days unless they have an excused absence or an emergency situation that requires them to be excused from school.

The Coweta County Schools system is committed to providing a quality education for each of their students. In order to continue this commitment, the system must work together as a team.
Through collaboration and communication, the school system can achieve its goals and provide an excellent education for all of its students.
